Safe Routes to Schools Grant

Dear Elementary PE Teachers,

I am working with the Vermont Agency of Transportation to disseminate the Safe Routes to Schools funding. A new grant cycle is now open! Each applicant school is eligible for up to $10,000 to promote safe, routine walking and biking to school among K-8 students. (Note that infrastructure dollars will not be awarded through this grant.) This is an excellent opportunity for you as physical educators to impact community value for physical activity and health promotion. I encourage you to build a committee and consider applying for these grant dollars.
